ALUMINIUM HOLDERS
The Right Interface Between Ring Rail and Spinning Ring
Precision-machined aluminium holders that seat into the ring rail bore and accept the spinning ring inside — fit any standard ring to any ring frame without modifying the rail.

Product Overview
The aluminium holder (also called an adapter) is the interface between the ring rail and the spinning ring. Instead of machining the ring rail's bore to suit each ring size or ring change, the holder seats directly into the existing ring rail bore. The spinning ring then sits inside the holder — making ring installation, replacement, and standardisation straightforward, with no modification to the ring rail itself.
Two dimensions are critical when specifying a holder:
Ring Rail Bore Diameter — the outer diameter of the holder must match the ring rail's existing bore exactly. This determines whether the holder seats securely and without play in the rail.
Overall Stack Height (holder + ring) — the combined height of the holder seated on the rail and the ring sitting inside it determines how the ring sits above the rail, directly affecting balloon geometry and traveller travel path.
Standard practice is to place an 8 mm ring inside these holders. RGPL holders are precision-machined from aircraft-grade aluminium alloy for a perfect, rattle-free fit on both dimensions — no shimming, no additional machining, no adjustment to the ring rail required. Available in two types: Holder Fixing Ring and Circlip Ring, compatible with all major ring frame brands.
